Brenda Torres is the strategic risk leader and a partner in the firm risk management business unit at Crowe. Crowe LLP is a U.S. public accounting and consulting firm with more than 6,000 professionals. The firm leverages its deep industry expertise to provide audit, tax, and consulting services to public and private entities.

From 2021-2024, Brenda served as the chief operating officer for the firm. Prior to that, she served as the partner-in-charge of audit quality and operations in the audit and assurance business unit and as the engagement partner for audits of public employees’ retirement systems. She has more than 25 years of experience delivering audit and assurance services for public employees’ retirement systems, ERISA plans, and privately held companies in a variety of industries. During her tenure at Crowe, she also served on the firm’s screening committee for new partners and principals, the CEO advisory committee, audit and assurance services management team, executive council for the women’s leadership program, and dean of the audit college of Crowe University, the firm’s professional education and training portal. She also represented Crowe on the Center for Audit Quality’s talent steering committee. Brenda holds CPA licenses in Indiana and New York.
